ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Adam Thomson said Thursday there was no evidence of anyone travelling to Britain as part of the Olympic visa scandal.
Speaking to reporters at the Islamabad Press Club, Thomson said the visa scandal issue was of global significance; however Britain was satisfied with Pakistan’s visa and passport issuance mechanisms.
The British High Commissioner praised the NADRA system but said a mistake could be made.
Pakistan has decided to take legal actions against British newspaper ‘The Sun’ after it ran a report alleging to uncover a fake passport and Olympic visa ring in Lahore.
The federal cabinet decided to take legal action after initial investigations found no wrongdoing on the part of NADRA officials.
