AIIB extends complete support, cooperation to Pakistan

AIIB president appreciates economic policies and reforms of PDM-led government for social uplift of masses

The Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB) on Saturday appreciated the economic policies and reforms of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-led government for the social uplift of the masses and extended its complete support and cooperation to the country.

The development came during a virtual meeting between AIIB President Jin Liqun and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as part of the IMF/ World Bank Spring Meetings 2023.

During the meeting, the finance minister shared the current economic outlook of the country and apprised him of the economic policies and reforms of the government for sustainable economic development.

He thanked the AIIB president for his generous support in rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in the flood-affected areas in Pakistan.

The AIIB president lauded the relationship between Pakistan and the bank. The finance minister thanked the AIIB president for his continuous support to Pakistan for the sustainable economic development of the country.
