Work to install jammers in KP prisons starts
PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has initiated work on installation of jammers in six sensitive prisons of the province including Peshawar, Timergarah, Bannu, Kohat, Haripur and Dera Ismail Khan.

According to official sources, after a militants' attack on Bannu jail the government had decided to install cell phone signal jammers in main prisons of the province and in this connection a survey was completed in DI Khan jail. The government would spent Rs 20.76 million to complete the project.

In first phase, the work on installation of these jammers has been started at Peshawar prison while teams sent to DI Khan and other jails for conduction survey for the project have completed their work and presented their report to the provincial government for initiating work. (APP)
