LAHORE: Car riding dacoits snatched at least Rs4 million after killing a manager of a private distribution company on resistance while a dacoit was also killed during crossfire besides injuries to two persons.
According to police and Rescue 1122, Samdani Butt was going to bank on his car along with his guard when robbers on a Suzuki Cultus car intercepted them near Mithai Wala Chowk, Sham Nagar, Sandha, and demanded money at gunpoint. Samdani reportedly resisted, to which the dacoits opened fire on him after snatching the bag of cash. The guard of Samdani Butt also opened fire, killing a dacoit. In the crossfire, the guard and a passerby also received injuries. After looting cash, the robbers fled leaving the body of their accomplice behind.
On information, Rescue 1122 and police reached the spot and shifted the dead and the injured to the Mayo Hospital and seized the vehicle of Samdani Butt.
Sandha police said the killed dacoit was yet to be identified. (APP)
