Quetta: Doctors strike continues against fellow's abduction
QUETTA: OPDs in the Quetta hospitals remained closed on Monday as strike of doctors against the abduction of Dr Ghulam Rasool entered six consecutive day causing great inconvenience to the poor patients hailing from far-flung areas.

Young Doctors Association, Baloch Doctors Forum, and Paramedical Staff Association endorsed the strike call given by the Pakistan Medical Association for indefinite period.

Dr Ghulam Rasool was whisked away by unknown men week ago when he was way home from Bolan Medical College hospital.

The President PMA Balochistan, Dr. Sultan Tareen and other leaders said they would continue boycotting the OPDs unless the missing doctor is recovered. They called upon the authority to ensure early and safe recovery of abducted doctor.

The strike affected hundreds of patients who were seen awaited outside the OPDs in the scorching heat in the civil and BMC hospitals.

However, doctors and paramedics were present at casualty and emergency wards of the hospitals. (APP)
