RAWALPINDI: A shootout between two groups has resulted in the death of six people, four of them brothers, here in Rawalpindi, Geo News reported.
According to police, a spat during a Jirga (a meeting of family elders to decide disputes) in Rawalpindi’s Gulistan Colony spiraled out of control and firearms came into play. Five people were killed on the spot due to firing.
The firing also left one person critically injured, who later died in the hospital.
It was later revealed that the disputants were fighting over land.
An investigation has been launched, but no arrests have been reported so far.
