Khuzdar: Four police officers killed in road mishap

KHUZDAR: Four Quetta police officers including a DSP were killed and four others injured in a road mishap on RCD Highway near Totak area, some 25 kilometer off here on Thursday.

Local Levies sources told news agency that a Crime Branch special team comprising DSP, Asim Noor Hassan and seven others was proceeding in an official vehicle to Lasbella district from the provincial capital on a special assignment.

The vehicle they were travelling, turned turtle due to over speeding.

As a result, DSP Asim Noor Hassan, Head Constable Jahangir, Head Constable Mohammad Zaman and Driver Shafi Mohammad were killed on the spot while ASI Safdar Abbasi, ASI Zulfiqarm, Inspector Sakhi Mohammad and Head Constable Zahir Hussain sustained critical injuries.

They were shifted to Khuzdar hospital and later, shifted to the provincial capital.

Police have registered a case. (APP)
