QUETTA: Following the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry's directives to the Home Secretary and Inspector General of Balochistan police, security arrangements have been strengthened in the provincial capital on Friday.
Additional deployment of the personnel of Police, Balochistan Constabulary and Frontier Corps in city and other parts of the province have been deployed in this regard.
Police sources told APP that the security has been beefed up in and around city to guard the worship places where faithful will converge to offer the Jumatul Mubarik prayers.
Additional contingents of police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies have also been deployed on government installation whereas extra check posts have also been established in some areas for snap checking.
Aimed at improving the vigilance, the policemen in plainclothes have been tasked to keep eye on the elements opposed to peace. (APP)
