COLOMBO: Two matches will be played in the Sri Lankan Premier League today, Geo News reported.
Basnahira Cricket Dundee will take on Ruhuna Royals in the first match to be played at the Premadasa Cricket Stadium here.
In the second match, Kandurata Warriors will lock horns with Uva Next at the same place.
Altogether seven teams participating in the event, which included Basnahira Cricket Dundee, Kandurata Warriors, Nagenahira Nagas, Ruhuna Royals, Uthura Rudras, Uva Next and Wayamba United, out of them four top teams will qualify for semi-finals scheduled on August 28 and August 29, while final will be played on August 31.
Pakistani cricketers would not be available for the final due Pakistan series against Australia. Shahid Afridi, Misbahul Huque, Saeed Ajmal, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal, Azhar Mahmood, Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik, Fawwad Alam, Hammad Azam, Abdur Rahman, Umar Gul, Wahab Riaz, AShamad Shahzad and Imran Nazeer are representing different teams in the tournament.
Kandurata Warriors had defeated Wayamba United by two runs in nail biting match yesterday.
