Six killed in tribal clash near Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: At least six people were killed in clash between two rival tribes near Pirjo Goth on Monday.

As per details, men belonging to Narejo community armed with sophisticated weapons attacked Village Bindo Kalhoro of Katchha area in jurisdiction of Abdul Rehman Unnar police station. They also used rocket launchers burning huts in the village.

Police said three people were killed in firing and three others burnt to death in hut fire. Several others were injured.

The victims were identified as Ehsan Ali Kalhoro, Waheed Ahmed Kalhoro, Sajid Ali Kalhoro, Weengus, Zainulabidin and Rajab Ali Kalhoro.

The cause of the clash was old enmity between Kalhoro and Narejo tribes.

Police rushed to the area and tried to control the situation. (PPI)
