In a thrilling clash between Major League Soccer (MLS) and English Premier League giants Arsenal, Hany Mukhtar of Nashville SC will lead the MLS All-Star team. 

The announcement was made by MLS on Tuesday, fueling anticipation for the high-profile match scheduled to take place on July 19 in Washington, D.C.

The MLS All-Star roster comprises 26 exceptional players, with a blend of fan, player, and media-voted selections. The team, led by legendary player Wayne Rooney, who now coaches D.C. United, will showcase the best talent from the MLS.

Hany Mukhtar, the reigning league MVP and current top goalscorer, is a standout figure in the MLS All-Star lineup. The 28-year-old attacking midfielder from Germany has been a force to be reckoned with, having netted an impressive 13 goals this season. Mukhtar's remarkable performances earned him the prestigious 2022 MLS Most Valuable Player award and last season's Golden Boot, where he scored 23 goals.

The MLS All-Star team features an array of exceptional players, including Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris, FC Dallas forward Jesus Ferreria, and Nashville defender Walker Zimmerman, who were all part of the U.S. men's national team. Wayne Rooney, in his role as coach, handpicked 12 players for the squad, while MLS commissioner Don Garber made two selections.

Among the notable talents joining the MLS All-Stars is Thiago Almada, an Atlanta United midfielder who played a role in Argentina's recent World Cup triumph.

FC Cincinnati, currently leading the MLS with an impressive 13-2-4 record, boasts a league-high three All-Stars in midfielder Luciano Acosta and defenders Alvaro Barreal and Matt Miazga. Additionally, the inclusion of 38-year-old Chicago Fire forward Kei Kamara, with 144 career MLS goals, adds another layer of experience to the star-studded roster.
