Travis Scott is no longer under the law's grip as a Texas grand jury ruled out any criminal charges against him on his Astroworld music festival crowd surge in 2021 where ten people died and hundreds were injured.
The grand jury decision was followed by the Houston Police Department's investigation of 19-month long into the matter.
Speaking to Reuters, the Sicko Mode rapper's lawyer Schaffer defended his client saying, "Nothing Travis did or failed to do fits within the Texas criminal code."
Meanwhile, the unfortunate incident happened on November 5, 2021, when over 50,000 fans huddled at Scott's Astroworld Festival in Houston.
As soon as the Houston rapper hit the stage, swarms of concertgoers attempted to rush to the stage causing a crowd crush leading many to get trampled and lose consciousness.
The songwriter took to Twitter in the wake of the incident saying his "prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival."
"Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life," adding, "I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need."
Houston police and federal officials have been investigating whether Scott, concert promoter Live Nation and others had sufficient safety measures in place or not.
