Shakira appears to be ‘begging for little bit of love’ in diss songs about Gerard Pique

Shakira was dubbed "ridiculous" for criticising ex Gerard Pique and his ladylove Clara Chia Marti in new songs despite parting ways with him a year ago.

During a panel talk on Spanish show El programa de Ana Rosa, panelists discussed the singer’s hotly released track Copa Vacía in which she threw shade at the former Barcelona player.

The Waka Waka hitmaker has been targeting the athlete in her songs ever since their breakup in 2022 including her hit Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 5.

"After everything we've said about this break-up, we'll be looking for elements of her songs that have to do with autobiography for another 100 years," one panelist commented.

Another panelist, Alessandro Lequio, shared his two cents on the singer and her latest track, saying, "What I see is a neglected woman begging for a little bit of love.”

Agreeing with the first commentator, he added, "I agree with you, heartbreak is behind the best songs and the best plays.”

"But a real professional doesn't have to experience things and then tell the story,” he continued. “A real professional uses imagination.”

"The subject is already a bit exhausting,” Alessandro noted. “She has begun to look a little ridiculous."

In her song, for which she collaborated with Manuel Turizo, Shakria croons, “You are always busy with so much business. It would be nice, my love, a little leisure.”

Further referring to her breakup from Gerard, she adds, “Relax here on the sofa and give me your attention. The phone rings, use your hand with me I know you're hot , but I'm much hotter.”

After Shakira and Gerard announced their separation last year, several reports claimed that the two parted ways because the athlete cheated on the singer with the PR student.

Seemingly confirming the rumours, Gerard made his relationship with Clara official with a PDA filled outing at a concert in Barcelona just two months after ending his 12-year relationship with Shakira.
