The hype surrounding Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is real. The star-studded historical feature is less than a month away from release.

Among the cast is Indie queen Florence Pugh, who recently detailed why she accepted a role in the biopic. She highlighted the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented Cillian Murphy as a major factor in her choice.

“It’s a Christopher Nolan movie, number one, and number two, he has one of the most incredible leads. Cillian Murphy is an actor that I have been watching for quite some time and have been desperate to work with for ages. You’d have to be mad to say no. It felt like I was playing sports with some of the best athletes, so it was truly one of the best experiences that I’ve had.”

Oppenheimer’s star-studded cast, includes besides Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Jack Quaid, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, and Rami Malek.

The Cillian Murphy starrer revolves around the creator of the atomic bomb, Robert Oppenheimer. Nolan and Murphy spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the painstaking efforts made by the director and cast to ensure each scene comes out as aesthetically intended.

Oppenheimer will be released by Universal Pictures on Friday, July 21.
