Katie Price's mother reveals she underwent lung transplant

Amy, the mother of Katie Price, has revealed that she recently underwent a lung transplant.

She said she has been 'given a second chance at life' after the surgery.

According to a report, the 71-year-old had a terminal lung condition.

The report in Daily Star said she was previously diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and medical professionals informed her she had a life expectancy of up to five years.

It said Amy has just published her own autobiography, titled The Last Word, and had been keeping the news of her health update under wraps until now.

"What you see is what you get with her, that's where I get that from. I guess she's protecting her family and this is her way because she thought she was going to die," her daughter Katie Price was quoted as having said by dailystar.co.uk.

According to the publication, Amy has also discussed Katie's  plastic surgery, addiction and her past relationships in her new book.
