Prince Andrew has reportedly escaped eviction from his Royal Lodge following his former wife Sarah Ferguson’s breast cancer diagnosis and successful surgery.

According to reports, a plan to move Prince Andrew into Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has been ‘quietly shelved’.

Now, according to a report by Radar Online, Kate Middleton played key role in the latest development after Sarah Ferguson’s desperate plea to the Princess of Wales.

The publication, citing a source, reported Andrew and Sarah hoped that Kate would sway her father-in-law King Charles to let them stay in Royal Lodge as the monarch was on a mission to force them out.

"They're hoping Prince William's wife will talk the monarch into seeing reason."

Therefore, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice parents, who still lived together, turned to Kate Middleton in a last-ditch effort to stay in the lodge.

The insider claimed, “There's no doubt Kate has the king's ear. He has a real soft spot for her, and Fergie's hoping that could be to her advantage.”
