Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are back sooner than you’d think as the duo announced their new song Bongos, reports Daily Mail.
The publication says the two shared that they will be releasing Bongos this Friday, on September 8. Megan and Cardi also shared the raunchy poster for the track which features the two donning colorful wigs, accessorised with platform heels and bracelets.
This is the pair’s second collaboration after their explicit hit track WAP which remained No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, in 2020.
Last year, WAP was certified 7x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
WAP’s music video garnered 510 million views on YouTube as it involved cameos of Kylie Jenner, Normani, Rosalia, Latto, Sukihana, and Ruby Rose.
Prior to the news, Cardi B posted a short video of herself in a white bodysuit as she tells the viewers she has an announcement to make.
The background song playing in this clip is what garnered everyone’s attention - it happened to the 90s bop Kaliyon Ka Chaman.
This led to fans suspecting that the announcement might be regarding a collaboration with Bollywood.
While others couldn't believe their ears.
The announcement comes as a surprise after the Bodak Yellow rapper said in her Vogue Mexico cover interview in September that “she was not going to release any more collaborations’ before the release of her long-delayed second studio album.”
