Faisalabad: Two robbers killed in encounter

FAISALABAD: Two robbers were killed while a head constable sustained bullet injuries in an alleged police encounter in the area of Rodala Road police station.

According to the police, a milkman Umar Hayat was going on a motorcycle when 3 armed bandits intercepted him near Chak No.266-GB and tried to snatch cash and motorcycle.

However, when the milkman produced resistance and raised alarm, they tortured and injured him.

In the meantime, SHO Rodala Road Inspector Ali Hasan along with his team reached on the spot all of sudden as they were on their routine patrolling.

The police directed the outlaws for surrender but they opened fire at the police party due to which a police head constable Aziz received serious bullet injuries and was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Jaranwala.

The police also returned fire and during this encounter, 2 robbers were killed on the spot while their accomplice manage to escape from the scene by taking shelter of the crops.

The killed robbers were identified as Kalo Machi of Chak No 435-GB and Nasir resident of Chak No 367-GB. (APP)
