Nowshera: Blast outside shrine kills 4, injures 34
NOWSHERA: A bomb exploded outside a shrine of Ziarat Kaka Sahib located in district Nowshera, killing four persons and injuring 34 others, police said.

SHO Nowshera Kalan said a remote control bomb was planted about 30 feet away from the main gate of the shrine in a water cooler.

The injured were taken to the District Headquarter Hospital and Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital, where medics feared more casualties as some of the patients were shifted to the provincial capital in critical condition. An emergency was also declared at the DHQ hospital following the blast.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik condemned the incident and claimed that an illegal mobile SIM was used in the attack.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti and Governor Barrister Masud Kausar, MQM chief Altaf Hussan and other politicians also condemned the attack.

The blast came on second day of Eid-ul-Azha amid tight security arrangements across the country.
