HYDERABAD: Former deputy union council (UC) Nazim Hyderabad, Jalil-ur-Rahman was gunned down here on Saturday night, Geo News reported.
Sources told Geo News that unknown armed bikers opened fire at him in a teashop near Nishat Cinema here. He died on the spot.
He was was shot in the chest six times, sources further added.
Indiscriminate firing also left one of his associates, Sher Mohammad, seriously injured.
On the other hand Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee in a statement issued condemned Jalil-ur-Rahman's murder in the strongest of words.
The statement said that he was MQM's Joint In-Charge of Hyderabad Sector B.
His dead body has been shifted to his residence in Firdaus Colony after legal formalities.
