Michael Strahan, co-host of Good Morning America, will continue to be absent from the show this week as he deals with personal family matters.
An ABC spokesperson shared the news, stating that they appreciate everyone's thoughts and concerns regarding his absence.
Strahan has not been on air at Good Morning America since October 26, and during his absence, Juju Chang from Nightline and Linsey Davis from World News Tonight have stepped in to fill his role.
The former professional football player became a full-time co-host of the morning news show in 2016 after leaving Live With Kelly and Michael. Strahan has also been missing from his position as an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday for the past two weeks.
Fox Sports commentator Curt Menefee explained that Strahan was absent from the show due to a personal family matter. Strahan's representatives declined to comment further.
Strahan, a father of four adult children, has not posted on social media since October 25, when he promoted his game show, The $100,000 Pyramid. He shares his older children, Tanita and Michael Jr., with his first wife Wanda Hutchins and his 19-year-old twins, Isabella and Sophia, with his second wife, Jean Muggli.
Good Morning America airs on weekdays at 7 am ET on ABC. Strahan's fans and colleagues are showing support as he navigates these personal family matters.
