Richmond Marathon route begins at 7:15am at 7th and Broad Streets and runs until 11:30am

The 46th running of the Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon will take place on Saturday — last year's winner, 27-year-old Samuel Doud, finished in 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 27 seconds, while local Sarahbeth Chargois took first place among women with a time of 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 2 seconds last Saturday.

Here are the details of what will be happening on Saturday:

The marathon starts at 7am at First and Broad Streets. The path crosses the James River, passes through Manchester, past the Fan and Museum districts, and finishes up as far north as Bellevue Avenue. Up until 2:00pm, it is open.

The CarMax Richmond Half Marathon route begins at 7:15am at 7th and Broad Streets and runs until 11:30am.

Furthermore, the VCU Health Richmond 8k starts at 7:30am at 8th and Broad Streets.

Race day packets and bibs are available on Friday from 11am to 8pm at Richmond Raceway, 600 E. Laburnum Ave. There will be goat yoga at 11am and a panel discussion at 3pm, in addition to food and exhibitors.

Commemorative bibs for Veterans Day, first-timer stickers, and official Richmond Marathon merchandise will be on sale.

There is parking on Marshall Street between 1st and 8th Streets and at the starting line at 8th and Franklin Streets.

There are plenty of parking lots close to the finish line, including The James Centre at 10th and Canal Streets, Main Street at 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 15th Streets, Cary Street at 8th, 14th, and 15th Streets, and Virginia and Canal Streets.

The half-marathon's mile 6 and the marathon's miles 7, 12.5, and 19 are set aside as spectator party zones. There will be noisemakers, music, and signs.

Additionally, fans may track runners at racesignup.com and receive SMS updates via the RaceJoy app.

Only clear bags may be brought by participants.

Extra bags can be checked in and picked up from the American Civil War Museum in the Historic Tedegar parking lot following the race.

Brown's Island hosts the CoStar Group Post-Race Party from 8am to 2:30pm. Food, drinks, and live music will all be available.

Beginning at 9am, participants may also enjoy a complimentary beer or vodka lemonade and participate in one-on-one assisted stretching.

There will also be a buy option for medal engraving.

The Tyler Porterfield Pedestrian Bridge in Manchester provides access for spectators to the post-race activities.

Sean Sublette, a meteorologist for the Times-Dispatch, predicts chilly and dry weather on Saturday morning. By midday, the temperature is predicted to reach 55 degrees.

Complimentary shuttles will be provided between the start and finish lines. Numerous public bus routes are also close to the racing course and after-party.
