As Israel continues to pound Gaza with air strikes killing hundreds of people every day, a video of an American Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California, John Strauss, expressing hatred for the war-struck Palestinians went viral on social media on Thursday.
The Palestinian death toll from Israeli aggression has surged past 11,000, with thousands of others injured while people continue to die as the war on the besieged enclave of Gaza extends for over a month.
"Every one of them should be killed, and I hope they all are," Strauss was caught on camera saying this, apparently in response to a question about the situation in Gaza or as a remark on pro-Palestinian students at the varsity.
Palestinian writer and poet Mohammed el-Kurd also shared the video on his Instagram Stories.
"I received this video from USC students. The level of anti-Palestinian racism on US campuses is abhorrent. Shame on @uscedu," he wrote.
The video was also posted by an American-based organisation "fighting zionism and zionist hate" on the microblogging site X, questioning the university about the hate expressed by one of its teachers.
"@USC does this Professor represent your institution’s values? Has he been reprimanded in any way? Your students and all Americans who are against hate demand an answer," Stop Zionist Hate wrote.
With hundreds of Palestinians dying every day and no respite in Israeli atrocities in Gaza, the Muslim and Arab leaders are scrambling to put Tel Aviv's war on Palestine to an end.
Currently, Saudi Arabia is currently hosting an extraordinary joint Islamic-Arab summit in Riyadh with the participation of Arab and Muslim countries' leaders to discuss the war in Gaza.
At the summit, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman called for the immediate end of military operations and the release of hostages.
He said that Israel bears responsibility for what he called "crimes committed against Palestinian people", calling for an end to the siege of the Gaza Strip.
