Khuzdar: : As law and order remains a big challenge for authorities in Balochistan in the wake of ethnic and sectarian violence, Geo News on Thursday said that as many as 11 prisoners had been released on fake release orders from Khuzdar Jail.
A three-member committee headed by Additional Secretary Home Department has been formed to probe the issue after the disclosure of release 11 prisoners.
Official sources said that four accused belonged to Waziristan while seven hailed from Balochistan.
The issue came to the knowledge of authorities after an inmate in Zohb District jail attempted to secure release through fake documents. A man was also arrested involved in releasing inmates on fake documents.
Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Khuzdar Jail have been suspended after a preliminary investigation.
