Exhibition, film festival started

LAHORE: Information and Culture Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani opened a four-day international cultural and handicrafts exhibition and film festival at Al-Hamra Arts Council on Thursday.

Khana-e-Farhang Iran (Irani Cultural centre) Director General Dr Abbas Famuri and representatives of Turkey, Iran and China were also present. Stalls of historic and cultural art pieces, handicraft, and food have also been showcased.

Speaking on the occasion, Wani said the Punjab government was making efforts to strengthen ties with friendly countries.
Such activities encourage people to people contacts, besides promoting art and culture, he added.

Cultural and historic movies of Pakistan, Turkey, Iran and China will also be screened. The exhibition and festival will conclude on November 12.(APP)
