MULTAN: Intellectuals, poets and literary scholars paid tribute to Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal, on his 135th birth anniversary, at "Adbi Baethak" conference held at Arts Council here on Friday.
They said that Iqbal's poetry was being studied almost in all languages of the world.
Poet, Professor Anwar Jamal said that "Iqbal Chair" was presented at 10 Universities of the world. He said that it was Iqbal's dream, which resulted into establishment of Pakistan.
Engineer Mumtaz Ahmed Khan presented Iqbal's famous poetry "Shikwa" and "Jawab-e-Shikwa" which received great admiration amongst the participants.
Poet Raziuddin Razi also threw light on different aspects of great poet Allama Iqbal.
On this occasion, renowned literary figures Wasim Mumtaz, Hashim Khan, Rao Amir, Jahangir Tareen and others were also present. (APP)
