In a fiery exchange following last week's Gotham Awards ceremony, former President Donald Trump, in a scathing response, called 'The Godfather' actor Robert De Niro a "total loser".
De Niro, known for his outspoken stance against Trump, discovered that his anti-Trump remarks were omitted from the autocue during his tribute speech for "The Killers Of The Flower Moon."
Undeterred, the Oscar-winning actor retrieved his phone and delivered his Trump-critical lines, emphasising the ex-president's alleged thousands of lies.
In retaliation, Trump took to his Truth Social platform over the weekend, labelling De Niro a "total loser" and claiming his acting talents had significantly waned.
Accusing De Niro of relying on a teleprompter for his remarks, Trump asserted that the actor had become "unwatchable" in both movies and public appearances.
Trump further commented on the decline of the Academy Awards, branding De Niro's involvement with the ceremony as a contributing factor to its diminished status.
The former president concluded by advising De Niro to focus on his own life, which Trump described as a "mess," rather than passing judgment on others.
As the verbal sparring intensifies, De Niro has yet to respond to Trump's scathing remarks, leaving the public eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this high-profile feud.
