Services of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, have been restored after it briefly suffered outages worldwide.

Downdetector.com early Thursday confirmed that social media platform X and its advanced version — X Pro — suffered outages globally. In about one and a half hours, the issue with X was fixed.

Users on X were unable to view posts on the social media site with a message that said "Welcome to X!"

Users encountered loading issues on X Pro, formerly TweetDeck, with a message that said "Waiting for posts."

Over 47,000 US users faced access issues with X and X Pro, according to Downdetector data.

Downdetecter said a huge number of complaints have been submitted by the users in the last 24 hours. "Downdetector only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day," it said.
