After the possibility to access and use WhatsApp on multiple other devices simultaneously without the requirement of internet connection, the Meta-owned messaging app is rolling out the ability to share status updates from the devices linked to the account, WABetaInfo reported.

The new feature is for the convenience of users who frequently share updates on their WhatsApp status.

As per the WhatsApp news tracker, the users will be able to avail the feature after installing WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.1.4 update from Google Play Store.

The update will be available for some beta testers initially, and will be rolled out to even more people over the coming weeks.

The new feature will enable the users to share images, videos, GIFs, text, and voice messages through status updates, providing them with a significant step forward in the way they communicate with their contacts from a companion device.

"This feature not only empowers users to share status updates from companion devices but it also ensures that the multi-device experience on WhatsApp remains consistent and inclusive," WABetaInfo stated.

This feature definitely ensures users can keep their contacts informed and engaged through status updates, without experiencing limitations inherent to the companion mode.
