Fox News conveyed the untimely passing of Matt Napolitano, a distinguished anchor and reporter for Fox News Audio, who succumbed to a brief illness on December 23 in New York City.

At the tender age of 33, Napolitano's career had been deeply intertwined with Fox News since 2015, marking a journey that showcased his versatility and dedication to journalism.

Initially joining Fox News as a writer for the Sirius XM channel, Fox News Headlines 24/7, Napolitano swiftly ascended the ranks, transitioning to become a notable sports reporter for the channel.

After a brief hiatus in 2022, he made a triumphant return in November of the same year, aligning with Fox News' strategic efforts to amplify its audio content operations.

In his multifaceted role, Napolitano served as both anchor and reporter, contributing written and produced segments across all Fox News audio platforms.

His expertise extended to Fox Business Network's "Cavuto Coast to Coast," where he delivered sports-related coverage for the weekday series hosted by Neil Cavuto.

Additionally, Napolitano lent his voice to the Fox News Edge service, disseminating news coverage and content packages to Fox affiliate stations nationwide.

Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott eulogised Napolitano, highlighting his resourcefulness and enterprising spirit in the field of journalism. In a memo circulated to Fox News employees on December 24, Scott reflected on Napolitano's diverse contributions, from anchoring to content creation, underscoring his passion for the journalistic craft that defined his entire career.

Beyond the newsroom, Napolitano was a devoted fan of "Jeopardy." Fulfilling a long-held dream, he appeared as a contestant on the iconic game show in 2020, a testament to his meticulous pursuit of this goal since adolescence.

His enthusiasm for game shows extended to an appearance on "Wheel of Fortune" in 2016, where he successfully navigated to the bonus round.

Tragically, Napolitano leaves behind his grieving husband, Ricky, whom he married just this past May. The news of his untimely departure reverberates throughout the Fox News community, mourning the loss of a cherished colleague and respected journalist.
