QUETTA: Security forces in Balochistan's Zhob district on Friday foiled a bid for a terrorist attack planned to disrupt Independence Day celebrations in the country.
Security sources said the search operation was carried out by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Gawal Ismail Zai area of Zhob on intelligence reports.
According to the sources, five suicide jackets, 25 explosive mines, 36 hand grenades, 24 rocket launchers and over 50 kilograms of explosive material was recovered in the operation.
