As the world enters another year, global citizenship financial advisory firm Arton Capital has issued the latest passport index for the first trimester of 2024, ranking the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the country bearing the most powerful passport.
With a mobility score of 180, the UAE has retained its position at the top of the list of most powerful travel documents.
The citizens holding a UAE passport can travel to 130 countries without the requirement of a prior visa, and 50 countries with a visa required on arrival.
As per Gulf Today, Arton Capital commented that the positive diplomacy of the UAE has contributed to strengthening its passport significantly.
The second position in the list is held by multiple countries including Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands with the mobility score or ability to enter 178 countries.
Meanwhile, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria, and Switzerland with the ability to enter 177 countries.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has secured its place among the countries which are at the bottom of this list.
Having a mobility score of 47, the Pakistani passport is the fifth least powerful travel document in the world. People holding a Pakistani passport can have a visa-free entry to only 11 countries in the world.
