Football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly added another gem to his extensive property collection by purchasing a mega-mansion on Dubai's opulent 'Billionaires Island.'

The Al-Nassr superstar, who dominated 2023 as the world's top scorer and commands a £175 million annual salary with the Saudi club, is set to be honoured at the upcoming Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, a city where he is now set to have a new abode.

According to Bloomberg, Ronaldo's new residence is situated on Jumeirah Bay Island, commonly known as 'Billionaires Island,' a secluded enclave catering to the ultra-wealthy.

While specific details about the mansion remain undisclosed, it is rumoured to come with a hefty price tag, estimated in the tens of millions of euros.

'Billionaires Island' earned its moniker due to its concentration of billionaires per square kilometre, surpassing other locations in the UAE.

The island, known for hosting affluent residents from Saudi Arabia, Israel, India, and Russia, features extravagant properties, including a mansion for sale boasting six bedrooms, private beach access, a car showroom, a spa, a pool with a view of downtown Dubai, and on-site staff accommodation.

Developed by Palace Luxury Living, the island has witnessed the construction of 10 mega-mansions, with each property estimated to sell for $545 million (£430 million) collectively.

The island, part of a gated community, offers fine-dining restaurants, a yacht club, a beach resort, and an unparalleled view of the iconic Burj Khalifa.

Ronaldo's acquisition aligns with a trend among Saudi Pro League stars, who often reside in expansive villas or luxury hotels.

With his base in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a mere two-hour flight away, Ronaldo is expected to share his luxurious retreat with partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children.

As the football maestro continues to amass accolades on the field, his off-field investments reflect a penchant for acquiring prime real estate in the world's most exclusive locales.
