CS directs early completion of road project in Quetta

QUETTA: Chief Secretary (CS) Balochistan Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad has directed the Communication and Works (C&W) department to complete the repair and construction work as soon as possible.

Addressing a meeting held here at Civil Secretariat on Monday to review the pace of work on the road project and cleanliness in the provincial capital, the CS called for accelerating the pace of construction and patchwork of roads besides taking concrete steps for the improvement in the cleanliness in Quetta.

"The winter has approached and any further delay caused by rain or chill in the road work would cause inconvenience to the dwellers of the city," he said.

Stressing the need for utilizing the latest machinery for the cleanliness purpose, Yaqoob said that besides assigning tasks to the manpower, the machinery should also be used to get better results and overcome the hygienic issues.

Earlier, CS Balochistan was given detailed briefing on the steps taken by the Communication and Works department for early completion of road project and overall steps taken by the administration.

Secretaries of various provincial departments and commissioner Quetta division attended the meeting.
