ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, said all cases pending against him will end if he obeys the powers that be, hinting towards the message being given to him.
According to The News, the PTI founder's comments came during a chat with journalists at the Adiala jail after the hearing of his case on its premises on Friday.
Khan added that he was also relayed the message about daring to expose the "cipher conspiracy", the case that put him behind bars in August 2023.
This is what the cipher case is, he stated.
The former prime minister alleged that the caretaker government was not neutral, while the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was practically ineffective.
Khan said the Toshakhana cases of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari had been ended, while Maryam Nawaz had got a BMW from Toshakhana and had not declared it but her case had also been disposed of.
He said Maryam had also four flats according to the Panama case, but the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had withdrawn from that case too. He remarked that cases of those who conduct press conferences are closed, while Amjad Khan, Sadaqat Abbasi and other candidates were caught and not allowed to submit their nomination papers.
The PTI founder said he had been booked in over 200 criminal cases, and such a large number of cases had not been registered against any other person in the history of the country. Khan said that when he gets bail in one case, he is booked in another case.
There is, he maintained, no rule of law in the country and that is why it is not making progress.
PTI’s struggle was a movement for real independence, and providing rights to the weak segments of the society and bringing the powerful under the law was real democracy, he added.
Khan insisted that there was a law of jungle in the country and he was victimised on May 9 and arrested illegally. The ex-premier added no political party was ever as brutally victimised as the PTI.
Commenting on the plight of the Palestinian people, Khan said they were facing genocide and there was no example in the world of the atrocities being committed against them.
