Karachi to Hyderabad cycle race on Dec 2

LAHORE: Karachi to Hyderabad national cycle race will be held on December 2 under the aegis of Pakistan Cycling Federation and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).

"Nine teams,one each from Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , Balochistan, Islamabad FATA, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Railway, Sui Southern Gas and WAPDA will participate in the competition",said a spokesman of Pakistan Cycling Federation here on Friday.

He said each team will consist of six riders who will kick-off form SSGC's head office building located at Sir Shah Suleman Road, opposite Karachi Expo Centre. The 142 kms race will culminate at Al-Zeb Restaurant, first toll check post, super highway, Hyderabad.

SSGC's Managing Director, Zuhair Siddiqui will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony and Munawar Baseer Ahmad, President PCF will give away prize at the closing ceremony.

The General Council of Pakistan Cycling Federation will also hold its first general council meeting in Karachi, a day earlier to this event at DHA, Golf Club,he said. (APP)
