In a surprise encounter during a 'Spaces' session hosted by the former Pakistan captain, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan asked Babar Azam about his marriage plans, amusing online fans.
The star batter interacted with his fans during a space session on X (formerly Twitter) a day earlier in which he talked about various things related to his cricket career, personal life, and parents.
The informal online chit-chat got more interesting when Rizwan made a surprise appearance for which Babar was not ready as he couldn’t recognise his teammate initially and asked him how he landed in the space.
"When is your marriage," the World No. 2 T20 batter asked. "I knew you would ask this," Babar replied.
"You will have to answer this," Rizwan questioned. "I will answer this to you privately," Babar responded.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old also opened up on the most emotional moment of his cricket career so far.
"There have been many emotional moments. When I made my debut was one of them while becoming captain was an emotional moment too.
"But, the loss against Zimbabwe in the World Cup was heartbreaking," Babar said.
Moreover, the No.1 ranked ODI batter revealed his favourite knocks in red-ball and white-ball cricket.
"My century in Brisbane against Australia in 2019 and 196-run knock in the second Test against Australia in Karachi in 2022 are my favourite in Tests."
"158 against England in Birmingham while T20I centuries against South Africa and New Zealand are my favourites in white-ball cricket," he added.
On the other hand, Babar also mentioned his future goals and one of them is winning the World Cup.
"I want to play at every upcoming World Cup and help Pakistan win," he maintained.
It must be noted that Babar is currently engaged with Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). In four innings, he has amassed 157 runs with the help of two innings. He averages 52.33 and is batting with a strike rate of 112.94.
