Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) affiliated independent candidate Latif Khosa defeated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khawaja Saad Rafique in the NA-122 constituency with 117,109 votes.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khawaja Saad Rafique, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed (PTI) Latif Khosa, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) Muhammad Imtiaz, and Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) Zeba Basharat, are among several candidates contested for the seat.
The NA-122 constituency — formerly NA-130 — compromises Lahore Cantt Tehsil’s Charge No 6, 7, 8, Charge No 5’s Circle No 3, Lahore Cantonment’s Charge No 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Walton Cantonment except following areas — Charge No 3, 4, Circle No 1, 2, 3, and 6 of Charge No 9, and Circle No 7, 8, and 9 of Charge No 11.
In the general elections of 2018, PTI founder Imran Khan won with 84,313 votes, while PML-N’s Khawaja Saad Rafique secured the second spot.
The total population of the constituency is 953,104, while 570,537 are registered voters. Of them, 295,487 are male and 275,050 are female.
