Stopped President Zardari from weakening: Nawaz

RAIWIND: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif said Wednesday his party had played its role in Parliament completing its term.

Addressing party workers here, Nawaz said if his party had not been in the way, President Asif Ali Zardari would have taken several steps to weaken democracy in the country.

Nawaz added that the PML-N would increase its efforts for the rights of people in Sindh and the situation in Karachi was disheartening.

During the meeting, the political situation in the country and the PML-N’s preparations for the upcoming elections along with electoral alliances in Sindh were discussed.
