On Tuesday, Anushka Sharma surprised fans with good news on social media, announcing that she and Virat Kohli welcomed a baby boy on February 15.

Taking to Instagram, the NH10 actress penned a brief yet sweet note, sharing, "With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on February 15, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world!"

"We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude, Virat & Anushka."

Under the comment section, friends such as Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor dropped their heartfelt responses.

In the meantime, the power couple remained tight-lipped about the pregnancy, but cricketer AB de Villiers broke the news a few weeks ago.

"Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time, and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for," he shared on his YouTube channel.

"I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him. But he has made absolutely the right decision."
