Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh expecting first baby together

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first baby together. The actors took to Instagram to officially announced their pregnancy.

The Pathaan star and the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor dropped a sweet post on their Instagram accounts featuring sweet baby items.

“September 2024,” the text on the photo read, signed by Deepika and Ranveer.

The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2018, will welcome their first child in September which means the Bollywood beauty is in her first trimester.

Bollywood fraternity rushed to the comment section to congratulate the lovebirds on their happy news. “OMGGGGGGG!!!! Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen aap dono ko!!!” actor Vikrant Massey wrote.

“Congratulations,” commented Sonam Kapoor while Gauahar Khan penned, “Ecstatic for the both of you. god bless.” 

Deepika first sparked pregnancy rumours after she made a grand appearance at the 2024 BAFTA Awards in a gorgeous a glittering gold saree.

She covered her midriff with her saree at the prestigious ceremony which led many to speculate that the actor was hiding her baby bump. Deepika has now confirmed the rumours.

Earlier this year, Padukone talked of having her own family with her husband while speaking with Vogue Singapore. "Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children,” she said.

“We look forward to the day when we will start our own family,” Deepika added.
