PESHAWAR: The activists of Young Doctor Association on Tuesday held protest demonstration against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for not implementing the proposed service structure for the doctors’ community.
Holding banners and placards inscribed with different slogans regarding their demands while marching at Sher Shah Soori road opposite Cantonment Railway Station, the protesting doctors shouted slogans against the provincial health department for adopting delaying tactics in accepting their demands.
Dr. Malik Faisl Iftikhar, chairman YDA who were leading the demonstrators said that government was not bothered about the concerns of the doctors therefore not taking interest to implement the structure for the betterment of the doctors.
He demanded of the government to immediately provide service structure to the doctors in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa on the pattern of doctors in Punjab and eliminate their grievances.
He warned that they start protest demonstrations if government failed to approve their service structure. (PPI)
