Turkey’s efforts important for maintaining peace in region: President Zardari

ANKARA: President Asif Ali Zardari met his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul here on Wednesday.

During the meeting President Zardari appreciated the efforts of Turkey in maintaining peace in the region. The president also highlighted the importance of the Trilateral Summit.

According to the president, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey need to work together to deal with the narcotics trade. He added that through international conferences trade ties will also be restored and strengthened.

The meeting of the 7th Trilateral Summit of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey will be held on Wednesday.
