With the Muslim world set to welcome Ramadan, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have called on their citizens to look out for the crescent, on March 10.
If sighted on March 10, the holy month will begin on March 11 in the nations.
As per the Saudi Press Agency, the country’s top court has asked that anyone who sees the Ramadan crescent with their naked eyes or through binoculars notify the nearest court and record their testimony there.
Meanwhile, UAE’s moon sighting committee has also requested residents to look for the crescent on the same evening.
With just a few days left in the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims across the globe are set to welcome the blessed period with religious zeal and fervor.
Over a billion believers will fast during Ramadan to practice patience and self-control while also promoting charity and welfare.
