Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane, in a stunning match on Saturday, scored a record-setting hat-trick against Mainz 05 and expressed hope to break more records during his time in Germany, Sky News reported.

"I am enjoying this feeling, I am enjoying playing every match for the club," Kane told reporters after the match on Saturday when asked how he felt breaking records in Germany.

"Plenty of games left, I am hoping I will break the (30 goals) record for sure. People expect me to score goals and hopefully, I will deliver."

Kane's impressive performance also earned him the distinction of becoming the first player to score four hat-tricks in his first Bundesliga season.

With this win, the reigning champions have narrowed the gap between themselves and the current leaders, Bayer Leverkusen, to just seven points.

Kane, 30, has scored 36 goals this season, equating Uwe Seeler's record for most goals in a debut Budesliga campaign.

He is slated to break Robert Lewandowski's record for the most goals scored in a single Bundesliga season, set by the Polish forward in 2020-21.

Kane stressed the need for Bayern to maintain pressure on Leverkusen, hoping they will drop points in their remaining 10 league games.

"Leverkusen are favourites to win the league. We have to try and win all of the games left as this is the business end of the season," Kane said.

Bayern, currently second in the Bundesliga with 57 points, are in the Champions League quarter-finals and will face Darmstadt 98 in a league game next week.
