End-to-end encryption

The WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.6.11 update brings a new feature to some beta testers to indicate when their chats are end-to-end encrypted, WABetaInfo reported.

This feature was designed to make it easier for users to understand which chats are end-to-end encrypted, providing users with a convenience knowing that their conversations are securely encrypted.

Avatar stickers

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a privacy feature for Android users to decide who can use your avatar in their stickers.

This feature is under development and it will be rolled out with a future update.

New emojis

The WhatsApp news tracker reported that WhatsApp is releasing new emojis from the latest Unicode 15.1, making them available in the emoji keyboard for Android version.

Status updates header

WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new layout for the status updates header. As per WABetaInfo, the said feature has been designed to allow some beta testers to post status more quickly.

New sticker editor

WhatsApp users can download the latest feature for editing and creating stickers on the messenger with the Android 2.24.6.5 update from Google Play Store.

WABetaInfo termed it best feature released this week as the users will be able to create stickers within WhatsApp without the need to download third-party applications.

Third-party chats

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a chat interoperability feature to comply with new EU regulations.

The feature aims to facilitate messaging between WhatsApp users and people who do not have a WhatsApp account, as mandated by European law considering WhatsApp as a gatekeeper.

Favorites

With an upcoming feature under the 2.24.6.4 update for Android, users will be able to choose and manage favorites. This feature is currently in development and will be rolled out soon.
