KARACHI: Tension gripped different parts of Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas on Friday night bringing business activities to a halt, Geo News reported.

According to reports, unknown people resorted to aerial firing forcing the shopkeepers and traders to close their businesses. The shops, food centers, parks and petrol pumps those remain open till late night in Karachi and Hyderabad were closed after panic gripped the three cities after intermittent firing.

The affected areas in Karachi include Orangi Town, Baldia Town,Saeedabad, Maskan Chowrangi, Hasan Squire, old city areas, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauher, Nagan Chowrangi Gulbhar, Sarjani Town, Shah Faisal Colony, Anda Morh, Hussainabad, Liaquatabad, Water Pump,North Karachi, Landhi, Korangi, Saddar and Tariq Road, Agra Taj and other areas of Lyari Town.

A bus was torched by unknown people in Landhi area of the metropolis.

Latifabad, Heerabad, Hyder Chowk Cloth Market areas also remained tense after aerial firing in Hyderabad.

Situation remained same in other cities of Sindh including Mirpurkhas, Tando Allahyar, Nawabshah and Kotri where business activities were closed after unidentified men fired in the air.
