QUETTA: Biting chilled weather has forced people to remain indoor after the provincial capital received snowfall on mountains and rain on Saturday.
The mountains surrounding Quetta valley including Koh Zarghoo, Koh Takato, Koh Chiltan and Koh Murdar also received snowfall on third consecutive day on Saturday, turning weather very cold.
Low gas pressures and suspension of gas supply was also reported from several localities of the city after pressure surged on main gas supply system as people switched on gas heaters.
Reports reaching here said that rain also lashed in Kuchlak, Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Ziarat, Harnai, Khanozai and several others parts of northern Balochistan.
According to Met Office sources, another westerly rain system would enter Balochistan within next two days and northern and central Balochistan and the metropolis of Quetta might receive more rains that would further drop mercury.
