KARACHI: Lahore based third seeded Yasir Butt recovered from a set down to beat English qualifier Tom Pashley to confirm his place in the quarterfinals of Florida State Open – the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event at the Lifetime Athletic Club in Boca Raton, USA.
Yasir Butt took 42 minutes to dispatch Pashley recording a 5-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-5 victory.
He will now face unseeded South African Clinton Leeuw, who survived a 95-minute marathon encounter against Jamaican qualifier Christopher Binnie before recording a 6-11, 11-8, 11-8, 8-11, 14-12 triumph.
Farhan Zaman, the 19-year-old world No93, failed to join compatriot Yasir Butt in the last eight - going down 11-9, 11-8, 11-7 to lower-ranked Australian Scott Arnold.1st round:
