Kristen Stewart wasn’t a fan of Robert Pattinson’s character in Twilight.

The 33-year-old actress, who played the role of Bella Swan in the vampire saga, opened up about her on-screen lover Edward Cullen’s character.

During the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, host Amanda Hirsch asked if Kristen thinks Bella was “likable.”

“Woah, woah, woah. Hey, you better be careful. I don’t know if you can tell who you’re talking to right now,” she joked.

However, the host stayed on topic and explained why she found Bella “a little desperate” for the charming vampire, and was far too willing to change her life to be with him.

Defending Bella, Kristen replied, “Well yeah, but he was trying to sort of control whether or not she made choices for herself.”

“I would have broken up with him immediately. I mean if I was like, ‘Hey, I want to try that,’ and he was like, ‘No, this is just for me,’ I would be like, ‘Well, this is also just for me. My whole life. Without you,’” she continued.

The Love Lies Bleeding star went on to explain that while she understood why Edward was “too protective” of Bella, “you still gotta let a girl make her own choices.”
